Have anapp idea?

Let’s find a good starting point.

Rask Labs is an independent app and game studio in Oslo. We can help clarify your idea, explore the user flow and build a focused first version. We agree on the platform, scope and further work together.

RASK LABS / IDEAS INTO APPS
01 / IdeaWhat if we…
A clear idea. A first step.

Working together

Start with what matters.

A collaboration can begin with a small, clear task. Here is a possible approach.

01 / Clarify

Who are we helping?

We discuss users, their needs and what should become easier. We clarify the main questions and the scope of a first deliverable.

02 / Explore

Try the idea early.

Sketches or a clickable prototype can make the flow tangible. A technical experiment can clarify an important integration before we build the rest.

03 / Build

A first version.

We focus the feature set, build the agreed solution and test the main task. What we learn gives us a better basis for deciding the next step.

Our own projects

We build our own ideas too.

Braut Run and Birdie Club are our own games in development. They show two sides of our work: a fast arcade game and a 3D golf game.

Common questions

Before we get started.

Do I need a finished plan?

No. A short description of the people you want to help and the problem you want to solve is enough for an initial conversation. Sketches, examples or an existing solution can be useful too.

How much does it cost to build an app?

It depends on features, design, platform, integrations and testing. We need to clarify scope before a concrete proposal. Our cost guide explains what affects the budget. Read the cost guide ↗

Which platform should I choose?

The choice should follow your audience and essential capabilities. We clarify the needs before suggesting a direction, and explore technical uncertainties early. Compare native apps and web apps ↗

What happens after the first version?

Maintenance, operation and further features are agreed as part of the collaboration. Access to source code, accounts and documentation should also be clearly agreed before work starts.

Next step

Tell us what you want to solve.

A short email is a good start. It helps to include:

  • Who the app is for
  • The task or problem it should solve
  • What matters most in the first version
  • Budget range and intended timing, if known
